Join the American Legion Post #163 and your local fitness family for this unique and inspiring event! \n“Rucking” is the sport of walking\, running\, or hiking with a weighted backpack or vest. For this event\, choose between two races styles (rucking with a pack or weighted vest\, or running with no pack) and two distances (12 or 6 miles). \nThis event starts and finishes at Peg Leg Brewing in North Platte\, and will be run primarily on portions of the NP Trails Network. Supported by West Central District Health Department\, this event aims to bring the light of understanding to the subject of mental health and highlight the relationship between physical health and mental health. This event is in collaboration with Nebraska Game & Parks in remembrance of Tyler’s love of the great outdoors. DESCRIPTION:Your participation in this race will help NPHS Stu-Co to “Light Up” the lives of Make-A-Wish families of Nebraska! This twilight race is directed by the students of the North Platte High School Student Council.  All proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish Nebraska. \nPacket pickup and race day registration begins at 6 p.m. at the Cody Park near the rides. Mile begins at 7:15 p.m. with the 5K immediately to follow at 7:30 p.m. Race swag includes T-shirt and Glo Stick!
