DESCRIPTION:Everything’s more fun\, especially fitness\, when you do it with family and friends! Travel in teams of two\, three or four across more than 23 miles of scenic west-central Nebraska\, along the NPPD canal from Sutherland Reservoir to Lake Maloney. \nRace begins at Oregon Trail Golf Course\, 608 Birdie Lane\, in Sutherland. Race-day registration and packet pickup at the clubhouse from 6:30-7:30 a.m. All teams should be prepared to have their first runner at the start line at 7:45 a.m. Wave start will be used if team numbers exceed expectations. \nTeams will be able to make changes after they have registered. SUMMARY:Turkey Trot 5K & Family Mile
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy a trot with your family on Turkey Day\, to celebrate and benefit the North Platte Catholic Schools! Race begins at 8:30 a.m.\, with packet pickup and race-day registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. \nThis is a great 5K on a flat\, fast course through the trails near the Rec Center. The 5K includes neck gaiter\, drinks\, and refreshments. This year we’re substituting custom neck gaiters for T-shirts (except in the Kids’ Fun Run) to be better stewards of our resources and offer something useful and unique to our athletes. The savings go directly to the Running Scholarship Fund to support local runners. \nThe Family Mile is a race for the whole family — each family is given one race number\, and runs the race as a team\, finishing at the same time. Registration includes one T-shirt per team; additional shirts may be purchased separately. \nPRFS Participation Points:\n5K — 5 points
