DESCRIPTION:More information will become available as race day approaches. \nJune is PTSD Awareness Month\, and no one fights alone. Join the American Legion Post #163 and your local fitness family for this unique and inspiring event! \n“Rucking” is the sport of walking\, running\, or hiking with a weighted backpack. For this event\, choose between two races styles (rucking with a pack\, or running with no pack) and two distances (12 or 6 miles). Complete the event solo\, or with a partner! \nThis event starts and finishes at Peg Leg Brewing in North Platte\, and will be run primarily on portions of the NP Trails Network. Race day registration is 6:30 a.m. Presentation of colors at 7:30 a.m. Kids mile at 7:45 a.m. (run on golf course behind Peg Leg)\, start time of both ruck and run will be at 8 a.m. Overall winners get free entry into the next year’s event. Proceeds go to Legion Post #163 Scholarship Fund.
