DESCRIPTION:The original Platte River Fitness Series event! Challenge yourself with the sport of triathlon by conquering the swim\, bike\, and run — or work together with your friends to complete the event as a relay. \nIndividuals are encouraged to learn to swim\, but water walking will be allowed in the kids\, individual\, and relay divisions. Any style of bike is acceptable\, but bike helmet is mandatory. \nADULT TRIATHLON (individual and relay) \n\n\nDISTANCES: 500 yard swim\, 14 mile bike\, 5K run/walk \n\n\nDATE: Saturday\, April 27 \n\n\nTIMES: Mandatory race meeting at 8 a.m. in the Rec Center gym. Race start at 8:30 a.m. \n\n\nRELAY FORMAT: Relays may consist of a 2- or 3-person team — one swimmer\, one bike and one runner.
