DESCRIPTION:June is PTSD Awareness Month\, and no one fights alone. Join the American Legion Post #163 and your local fitness family for this unique and inspiring event! \n“Rucking” is the sport of walking\, running\, or hiking with a weighted backpack or vest. For this event\, choose between two races styles (rucking with a pack or weighted vest\, or running with no pack) and two distances (12 or 6 miles). \nThis event starts and finishes at Peg Leg Brewing in North Platte\, and will be run primarily on portions of the NP Trails Network. Race day registration is 7:00 a.m. Presentation of colors at 8:00 a.m. The start time of both ruck and run will be at 8:30 a.m. Overall winners get free entry into the next year’s event.
