Concealed Handgun Permit Safety Course Saturday January 14th.
This will be a State Certified concealed carry safety and training course meeting all of the training requirements to apply for your Nebraska CHP. Course includes classroom instruction with a range qualification.
The course will be held at the Maxwell Gun Club located at 8216 South Gun club Road in Maxwell. The class will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday January 14th. We should finish with range about 5 or a little after.
The portion taught in the classroom will last until about 4:00 p.m. We will take a 1 he break for lunch. there will be food on site if you are interested.
The required qualification is 30 rounds. We will do some shooting drills beforehand as well, so please bring at least 50 rounds total.
The live fire portion of the training will be done in groups of five shooters. The time at the range will be somewhat dependent on the number of shooters attending the training.
You will need to bring:
1. Your firearm
2. Safety glasses and hearing protection
3. A holster for your firearm (the state qualification requires this) Note: cross draw and shoulder holsters will not be allowed during the qualification for safety reasons. Please bring a holster that you can safely use to secure, draw, and re-holster your firearm and a belt that will support any hip holsters.
4. Clothing suitable for the weather
5. Form of government issued identification.
The cost of the course is $100. All necessary classroom and reference materials will be provided during class.
