How to Play?
– This is not a race for who can finish the fastest. However, you will have 3 hours to complete the route in order for your score to count.
– Along the route, there will be a number of stations from organizations, clubs or businesses in which you may be required to complete a riddle, task, challenge, etc… for a chance to win an extra prize sponsored by that organization, club or business.
– At each station the rider will also receive a colored poker chip. Each color has a point value; however, you will not know what the points are until you arrive back at the finish line.
– You must complete all stops to receive all chips in order to qualify. Once you arrive back at Pals, you will use the Pokercycle Points Chart to calculate your points and report your score to the Pokercycle officials.
– In case of tie(s), there will be a drawing for a high card to determine the winner.
– Helmets Required for Safety!
WARNING: Please expect flat tires and potential breakdowns. It is recommended to bring extra tubes and an air pump. We will have a phone number to call for assistance.
Prizes:
– The rider with the highest number of points is the winner and will earn $100 Cash Prize.
– The “Slo Pok-r” Award and $25 cash will be given to the person who finishes last.
– COSTUMES ENCOURAGED! $25 Cash Prize awarded to the person with the best costume/best decorated bike.
In the event of inclement weather, lightening and/or heavy rain/snow, the Pokercycle may be cancelled and registrations fees would be considered a donation to the North Platte Trails Network.
