The original Platte River Fitness Series event! Challenge yourself with the sport of triathlon by conquering the swim, bike, and run — or work together with your friends to complete the event as a relay.

Individuals are encouraged to learn to swim, but water walking will be allowed in the kids, individual, and relay divisions. Any style of bike is acceptable, but bike helmet is mandatory.

ADULT TRIATHLON (individual and relay)

  • DISTANCES: 500 yard swim, 14 mile bike, 5K run/walk

  • DATE: Saturday, April 29

  • TIMES: Mandatory race meeting at 8 a.m. in the Rec Center gym. Race start at 8:30 a.m.

  • RELAY FORMAT: Relays may consist of a 2- or 3-person team — one swimmer, one bike and one runner. An athlete may complete 2 legs, but must have another member to complete the third.

KIDS TRIATHLON

  • DISTANCES: 8 & under — 25 yd swim, 0.5 mile bike, 0.25 mile run; 10 & under — 50 yd swim, 2 mile bike, 0.5 mile run; 14 & under — 100 yd swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run

  • Fun, low-key event for kids 14 and under to try out a triathlon.
    • Indoor swim – water vests allowed!
    • Training wheels, Trikes and Big Wheels allowed. Bike helmet required
  • DATE: Friday, April 28

  • TIMES: Mandatory race meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Rec Center gym. Race start at 6 p.m.

  • FORMAT: Individual entries only; no relays.

20 points (Individual Triathlon)
10 points (Children’s Triathlon)
0 points (Relay Triathlon)
